Cala Macarella in Menorca

An idyllic cove on the south western side of the Balearic Island of  Menorca, Cala Macarella is covered in fine, powdery-white sand and lapped by calm turquoise waters. Surrounded by hills, this beach is so dramatic it will be hard to forget.

How to get there: 15 – 20 minute walk along a track to get to the beach from the car parks.

Where to eat: semi hidden in the wood,  Susy’s Chiringuito serves an excellent selection of meat and fish with home grown salad and chips amongst other plates.

Tip: try to go there in Spring or early Fall, as Summers tend to be incredibly busy.
